Based on Cornelia Funke’s popular novel of the same name. Inkheart is the story of a young girl discovers her father has an amazing talent to bring characters out of their books and must try to stop a freed villain from destroying them all, with the help of her father, her aunt, and a storybook's hero.
Inkheart includes a stellar cast comprised of Brendan Fraser, Sienna Guilory, Paul Bettany, Helen Mirren, and Andy Serkis. After wild success adapting series like The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, New Line greenlit two more popular series; Philip Pullman’s The Golden Compass and Inkheart. Unfortunately, the former was a huge and costly miss that led to New Line shutting down. My team and I were well underway on this exciting project when the plug was suddenly pulled and we got the sad news. A favorite piece was a custom title design and New Line logo animation created by my friend, the incredible Joost Korngold of Renascent.
